On Monday at 3:32 p.m., the Haddon Savings Bank located at 20 E. Route 70 was robbed by a lone male actor. The suspect approached the teller with a demand note for cash. The teller gave him an undisclosed amount of cash and the actor left the bank in a motor vehicle.
After a brief period the vehicle was stopped by the Cherry Hill Police a short distance from the bank on Kings Highway, where the suspect was taken into custody without incident.
The suspect was transported to the Cherry Hill Police Department where he was charged with 1st degree robbery. Bail was set at $101,000. The actor was subsequently remanded to the Camden County Jail in lieu of bail. The suspect is a 27-year-old resident of Fairfax, Va.
The investigation was conducted by the Cherry Hill Police and the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office.
