Cherry Hill celebrates 50 years

Mayor Bernie Platt and Town Council celebrated 50 years of Cherry Hill last night at the 50th anniversary council meeting held at Cherry Hill West.

Platt honored past mayors and township dignitaries, and was honored, himself, by members of council and local government officials.

Students from the All Cherry Hill Chorus performed a hit song from 50 years ago. Platt added a letter he wrote to Cherry Hill’s mayor 50 years from now and sealed it in the time capsule.

Guests were treated to cake and refreshments after the ceremony.
