Temple Emanuel will host an American Red Cross Blood Drive on Wednesday, Oct. 3 from 3 to 8 p.m. Make a difference this New Year. There is a critical need for all blood types as summer draws to a close and one pint of blood can save up to three lives! There will be a Simchat Torah Pot Luck Dinner and Service beginning at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Oct 7. We provide the chicken; you bring the sides, salads and desserts. Then join us in the Sanctuary at 7 p.m. as we completely unroll and uncover the Torah’s mysteries, sing, dance and celebrate with the dynamic Klezmer duo, Sruli and Lisa all throughout a lively evening of fun for everyone to enjoy! On Sunday, Oct. 21 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Cherry Hill High School East, 1750 Kresson Road, Cherry Hill, there will be a Just For You Expo in Support of Special Needs. Committed to social responsibility, community, connection and diversity, Temple Emanuel and Big Splash Productions proudly present their first annual Anti-Bullying Day & Just For You Expo in Support of Special Needs. Featuring free admission, this non-denominational event is open to entire community. Renowned speakers; special performances of Blue Lou and the Bullyfish; “Battle of the Songs” with area bands competing for a Kindle Fire; door prizes: Two iPads! Plus informative workshops, exhibitors sharing cutting-edge technologies, innovative products, services and lots of surprises! Expectant Parents 101: Jewish Baby Rituals will be held on Thursday, Oct 25 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Temple Emanuel. Oy vey! We’re having a baby! Calling all expectant parents, adoptive parents, we’re-somewhat-thinking-about-having-a-baby-sometime-in-the-near-future parents! Interactive, informational, fun workshops to learn everything you ever wanted to know about having a baby. Full sessions through Nov. 15 will be held for $75 per couple/series or $15/each workshop; for forthcoming topics and to R.S.V.P., please contact [email protected] or call Jeanie at (856) 489–0034.

There will be an Alternative Shabbat Service or Shabbat Family Service and Birthday Blessing at 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., respectively, at Temple Emanuel on Friday, Nov. 2. Please join us for two relaxing ways to greet the new week, celebrate through prayer and lively song with family and connect with new friends. Mini-Minyan Pot Luck Dinner & Service: Kids too old for Tot Shabbat? Enjoy our interactive worship experience for children in grades K-3 features songs, prayer instruction, arts and crafts and more on Friday, Oct. 26 at 6 p.m. and 7 p.m., respectively, at Temple Emanuel. Grandparents are encouraged to attend. We provide the chicken; you bring the rest (sides/dessert). The Tot Shabbat Service will be held at Temple Emanuel at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 2. Come pray, have fun, be prepared to sing, dance and have the time of your life with your little ones in this lively half-hour kid-friendly service! Open to the community, so bring your friends!
