The following report was released by the Cherry Hill Police Department.
On March 31 at 2:09 a.m., a fight between two patrons at the Top Dog nightclub broke out on the second level dance floor. Security was in the area and attempted to break it up but the fight erupted further when other non-involved parties decided to take part in the fight as well.
During the course of the fight, one of the security guards, who was attempting to separate the original combatants, was stabbed in the left leg by the suspect, a 32-year-old man of the unit block of Hampshire Road in Sicklerville. With assistance of other bouncers that actor was disarmed, subdued and turned over to responding police.
Subsequent investigation at the scene revealed that during the melee on the dance floor, the suspect not only stabbed the security guard, he had stabbed three other patrons who were involved in the larger fight. As a result of that larger fight another security guard was punched by an unknown person and sustained broken ribs.
All four stabbing victims were treated for their wounds at local hospitals and released. The three patrons were treated and released from Lourdes hospital in Willingboro and the security guard was treated and released from Cooper hospital in Camden. The other injured security guard was treated for possible broken ribs at Cooper hospital in Camden and later released.
The suspect was transported to police headquarters for processing, was charged with four counts of aggravated assault with injury, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon, and was subsequently remanded to the Camden County Jail in lieu of $212,500 full cash bail.
