Cherry Hill Election Day primer

From Congressional elections to the Board of Education, find out whose on the ballot this year in Cherry Hill Township.

Tuesday, Nov. 6 is Election Day in New Jersey, with polls open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Residents of Cherry Hill can vote in races for Cherry Hill Public Schools Board of Education, Camden County Sheriff, Camden County Board of Chosen Freeholders, United States House of Representatives and United States Senate.

Voters will also vote on a state public question.

In the race for CHPS BOE, 11 candidates are vying for three seats: incumbent board president J. Barry Dickinson, current board members Ken Tomlinson, Jr. and Kathryn Bay Judge, along with Ben Shore, Rosy Arroyo, Sally Tong, Laurie Neary, David Rossi, Sanjay Sharma, Brunia Pilet and Fredrick Dande.

In the race for Camden County Sheriff, incumbent Gilbert “Whip” Wilson (D) is against Joseph Adolf (R).

In the race for three seats on the Camden County Board of Chosen Freeholders, candidates are incumbents William Moen Jr. (D), Jeffrey Nash (D) and Susan Shin Angulo (D) against Keith Cybulski (R), Claire Gustafson (R) and Vincent Squire (R).

In the race for the U.S. Representative for New Jersey’s 1st congressional district, incumbent Donald Norcross (D) is against Paul Dilks (R), Paul Hamlin (We Deserve Better), Mohammed Kabir (Your Voice Heard) and Robert Shapiro (Libertarian Party).

In the race for United States Senator for New Jersey, incumbent Robert Menendez is against Bob Hugin (R), Murray Sabrin (Libertarian), Tricia Flanagan (New Day NJ), Madelyn Hoffman (Green Party) Kevin Kimple (Make it Simple), Natalie Lynn Rivera (For the People) and Hank Schroeder (Economic Growth).

For the state question on this year’s ballot, voters will vote “yes” or “no” on the Securing Our Children’s Futures Bond Act.

The bond act authorizes the state to issue bonds in the aggregate principal amount of $500 million.

The money from the sale of the bonds would be used to provide grants to schools, school districts, county vocational school districts and county colleges.

Money from the grants would be used to build, equip and expand facilities to increase career and technical education program capacity.

Money would also be used for school security upgrades and school district water infrastructure improvement projects.

· District 2: Park Administration Building, Meeting Room, 1301 Park Blvd.

· Districts 3 and 8: Arista Care, Main Dining Room, 1399 Chapel Ave.

· District 4: Church Road Civic Association, 2328 Route 38.

· Districts 5 and 29: Cherry Hill Fire Admin. Building, 301 Burnt Mill Rd.

· Districts 6 and 48: Cherry Hill Community Center, 820 Mercer St.

· Districts 7 and 45: St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 2001 Springdale Road

· Districts 9 and 23: St. Thomas Greek Orthodox Church, 615 Mercer St.

· District 10: Woodcrest Fire Station, 1501 Burnt Mill Road.

· District 11: Cherry Hill Fire Company №22, 951 Kings Highway North.

· Districts 12 and 25: Kingsway Church, 2701 West Chapel Ave.

· Districts 13, 20 and 35: Holy Eucharist Catholic Church, 344 Kresson Rd.

· Districts 14 and 22: Trinity Presbyterian Church, Witherspoon Ctr., 499 Route 70.

· Districts 15 and 24: Impacting Your World Ministries, 2901 West Chapel Ave.

· Districts 16, 30, 39 and 40: Temple Emanuel, 1101 Springdale Road.

· Districts 17, 18 and 42: Unitarian Universalist Church, 401 Kings Highway North.

· Districts 19, 27, 37 and 38: Cherry Hill Chinese Christian Church, 299 Browning Lane.

· District 21: St. Michael’s Church, 610 Kings Highway North.

· Districts 26 and 33: St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church, 1989 E. Marlton Pike.

· Districts 28, 34, 43 and 47: Temple Beth Sholom, 1901 Kresson Rd.

· District 31: The Grand, Social Room, Route 70 and 1920 Frontage Rd.

· District 32: Towers of Windsor, Toledo Building, Community Room, 3005 Chapel Ave.

· Districts 36 and 46: St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1439 Springdale Rd.

· District 41: Church Road Civic Association, 2328 Route 38.

· District 44: Marlkress Fire Station, 1100 Marlkress Rd.
