Water main repair to begin at Springdale Road in Cherry Hill on Monday

The Camden Freeholder Board has been notified that New Jersey American Water will begin repairs to a main transmission line along Springdale Road in Cherry Hill, near the Springdale Farm Market, beginning Monday.

The repairs are expected to take about three weeks, and will involve lane restrictions 24 hours a day for the duration of the project. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Justa Lane and Kresson Road.

“Motorists need to be aware of the construction taking place on Springdale Road over the next few weeks and plan their commutes accordingly,” said Freeholder Ian Leonard, liaison to the Camden County Department of Public Works. “Whenever you are driving through a road construction zone, please stay prepared for traffic pattern changes, and be observant of posted instructions or directions from police officers.”

Significant traffic delays are expected, and drivers are asked to seek an alternate route to their destinations from March 24 through the week of April 7. There will be message boards and designated traffic management on the site. The exact timing of the project will be dependent upon the weather and other factors.
