Cecil W. “Buck” Bentley, 81, passed away on June 2. A resident of Cherry Hill and formerly of Haddonfield. Husband of the late Helen (nee Smith); father of Susan B. Saporito (Frank) of Haddonfield, Bob L. of Cherry Hill, Steven W. (Donna) of Glendora and David J. (Dawn) of Haddonfield and grandfather of Jason, Cathy and Anne Saporito, Zachary, Tyler, Taylor, Parker, Abby, Will, Chris and Mary Bentley.
Buck graduated from Haddonfield Memorial High School and Lehigh University. He proudly served in the United States Army as a Second Lieutenant. He was a longtime member of Tavistock Country Club and an avid golfer. He was a past president of the Camden Home for Children and a longtime member of the Rotary Club of Haddonfield.
Buck’s family will receive friends on Thursday, June 5, from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m., at the First Presbyterian Church on 20 East Kings Highway, Haddonfield, where his memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. The family suggests memorial contributions in Buck’s name be made to the Rotary Club of Haddonfield Foundation, PO Box 383, Haddonfield NJ 08033, for college scholarships to be awarded to students from Haddonfield and vicinity.
