First snow of 2017–18 season expected to arrive in Berlin on Saturday

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for all of South Jersey with three to six inches of snow forecasted for Saturday.

Berlin could see its first snow of the season on Saturday as the National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for Camden County and all of South Jersey. The watch will be in effect from 1 a.m. on Saturday through 1 a.m. on Sunday.

The National Weather Service in Mt. Holly issued the watch because of the potential for heavy snow on Saturday. Residents should plan on difficult conditions throughout South Jersey, with three to six inches of snow possible. The heaviest snow is expected to fall between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Saturday. There is a possibility for significantly reduced visibility at times.

A Winter Storm Watch means there is potential for significant snow, sleet or ice accumulations that may impact travel. Residents should continue to monitor the latest weather forecasts.
