The following information was provided by the Cherry Hill Police Department.
On Monday Nov. 2 at approximately 12:30 p.m., an alert citizen noticed a male knocking at a door on the 200 block of Mcintosh Road. The male was then observed walking to the rear of the same residence. Knowing the homeowner was not on location, the alert citizen contacted police.
Officers arrived within minutes and determined the rear door to the residence was forced open. A perimeter was established and as the K-9 unit was making entry, a male exited another rear door and surrendered. It was determined that the male had just committed a residential burglary and property belonging to the homeowner was found at the rear door.
The suspect, a 50-year-old man from Hadleigh Drive in Cherry Hill, was charged with burglary, theft and criminal mischief. Through continued investigation, he was charged with committing three additional burglaries in Cherry Hill Township. He was remanded to the Camden County Jail in default of $15,000 full cash bail.
