Washington Township police offer Vacation Watch program

The Washington Township Police Department (WTPD) has launched a “Vacation Watch” program, designed to provide residents with the peace of mind while away on vacation. The free police service allows residents to request periodic checks of their property by officers during their absence, ensuring enhanced security and reducing the risk of break-ins and other incidents.

Here’s How It Works: The Vacation Watch program is available to all residents of Washington Township. When a homeowner registers for the service, uniformed WTPD officers will conduct random patrol checks of the property, including a thorough exterior inspection to ensure doors and windows are secure and that there are no signs of suspicious activity.

How To Register: Residents interested in participating in the Vacation House Check Program can enroll by completing a simple form available on the police department’s website at https://www.twp.washington.nj.us/ or by visiting the police department in person at 1 McClure Drive, Sewell. The department recommends submitting requests at least one week before the scheduled vacation to ensure timely processing.
