Voters in Washington Township will go to the polls Tuesday to choose candidates to run for an array of elected state and municipal offices in the Democratic and Republican party primaries.
Polling locations will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. The winners will face each other in the Nov. 5 general election.
Two seats are available for township council and one seat is open for mayor.
Incumbent Mayor Laurie J. Burns is running as a Democrat for her first elected mayoral term. Paul J. Esposito and David J. Tomczak are running as Democrats for the council seats.
Two people are running for the available mayoral seat in the Republican primary: Councilman Anthony Dellapia and Giancarlo Dorazio.
Three people are vying for two council seats in the Republican primary: Councilman Richard Bennett, Joseph J. Harris and Frank Fisher.
