Voorhees residents young and old were treated to a festive surprise on a chilly Dec. 4 as Santa visited neighborhoods in the community on a township fire department truck.
Township firefighters – in collaboration with the North Pole’s most iconic resident – orchestrated the visits and made them known with the blare of fire truck sirens.
“Santa, it’s really Santa!” one resident exclaimed upon catching sight of the man, who was accompanied by local heroes. Residents gathered on sidewalks and porches, and despite Santa’s tight schedule, his vehicle moved slowly down streets so everyone could share in the holiday spirit.
Anyone who missed Santa’s visits should listen for another appearance haralded by fire sirens.
