Tabernacle voters headed to the polls Nov. 7

Voters in Tabernacle Township went to the polls on Nov. 7 and elected members of the governing body/board of education.

The Burlington County Clerk’s Office has posted results from the election on its website. All of the election results are unofficial and will remain unofficial until a vote counting process that could take more than a week has been completed.

The totals as of Nov. 8 do not include late mail-in ballots and provisional ballots, which are expected to be tallied later this week.

Tabernacle Township Committee

One, three-year seat on the Tabernacle Township Committee and one, two-year unexpired term were on the ballot for the general election on Nov. 7.

Republican candidate Natalie Stone ran unopposed for the one, three-year seat. No Democrat petitioned for the open seat in the June primary.

As of Nov. 8, Stone has received 1,367 votes. There are 38 personal choice votes.

Republican committeeman Noble F. McNaughton ran unopposed for the two-year unexpired term. No Democrat petitioned for the open seat during the June primary.

As of Nov. 8, McNaughton has received 1,412 votes. There are 25 personal choice votes.

Tabernacle Township Board of Education

Six candidates, including one incumbent, vied for three, three-year-term open seats on the board of education in the election on Nov. 7.

As of Nov. 8, Kevin W. McCloy, who is in his third term, and newcomers Amy Lepsis and Steven Mosser are leading with 779 votes, 772 votes, and 734 votes, respectively, for the open seats.

Desiree Owle, who is seeking her first elected seat, follows close behind with 721 votes, Nik Tama has received 609 votes, and Jennifer Tyler received 545 votes.

There are 53 personal choice votes.
