To celebrate the back-to-school season, all dogs and cats at the Homeward Bound Pet Adoption Center will have an adoption fee of just $2 from Tuesday, Sept. 5 to Sunday, Sept. 10. The adoption center is open Tuesday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
“We have unfortunately reached full levels at the shelter, as this is our busiest time of year,” said Commissioner Jonathan Young, liaison to the animal shelter. “We need the public’s help in finding loving homes for these animals. Please, if you are able, consider opening your heart and your home to a new pet. And if you’re unable to adopt right now, the shelter is always looking for donations.”
