Tax Bills Notice:

New 2023 Tax Bills are now being processed. Please note, there will be an extended grace period on new bills to Sept. 20 and the third quarter amounts are available on the website and can be paid now.

A reminder that the Washington Township Tax Office is no longer accepting cash payments, no cash payments have been accepted since 2020.

Tax sale information:

Tax Sale is held once a year. Payments received after November 13 must be made with certified funds only. The tax sale this year is tentatively being held on Dec. 12 at 10 a.m.

To be removed from the tax sale list, payments must be received by the end of the business day, the day before the sale. (Properties on the tax sale list will be advertised in a local paper, four consecutive weeks before the tax sale date) The tax bills will be mailed out on Aug. 17. The new due date for the third quarter taxes is Sept. 20. Payment can be made by personal checks, money orders or by clicking ONLINE BILL PAY and following the prompts.

Washington Township Dog Park

I would like to announce that our fenced, unleashed Dog Park is open at Cedar Lake is open every day and ready for your furry friends. If you wish to utilize the dog park, your dog must be registered with Washington Township, or the town you reside in.

You can find the dog license application and dog park registration form on our website. You can also visit the Clerk’s page for more dog license information at www.TownshipNJ.com.

Once you show proof of this, you may register for our dog park for a $10 fee if you are a resident, and $20 if you are a non-resident. This can be done by visiting our Clerk’s office located in the Washington Township Municipal Building, 523 Egg Harbor Road, Sewell, NJ 08080.

The Dog Park is located at Cedar Lake Park at 353 Chapel Heights Road.

The Greater Washington Township Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting for The Dressing Rooms & Jenna’s Closet with Mayor Gattinelli, Councilmen Johnson Yerkes and Peter DelBorrello, Economic Development Consultant Nancy Mozzachio, and
Chamber President Nicole Lanutti.

Longtime Washington Township resident, Jenna, describes this boutique as the place to go when you “literally have nothing to wear!” The Dressing Rooms & Jenna’s Closet is an on trend women’s clothing boutique here to provide the ultimate shopping experience with new inventory weekly. Congratulations to Jenna, we wish you many years of great success! The Dressing Rooms & Jenna’s Closet is located at 279 Egg Harbor Road.

Municipal Buildings summer hours:

Monday to Thursday – 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and closed Fridays through Labor Day weekend.

The Municipal Building will be closed on Monday, Sept. 7 in observance of Labor Day.
