On Nov. 9, Julianna Roland of Lumberton signed her national letter of intent to compete in gymnastics at the University of Bridgeport. Roland will compete for the Purple Knights beginning next year.

A senior at Rancocas Valley Regional High School, Roland currently trains at the Cherry Hill Gymnastics Academy under coaches Scott Weller and Nina Weller. Roland has been a level 10 gymnast since 2013 and is a two-time national qualifier. She finished in 20th place in the all-around at the 2017 Junior Olympic Nationals.
