The lights for the basketball and tennis courts at Maple Dawson Park and Jeff Young Memorial Park are back on. They are on an auto-timer for 30 minutes before sunset until 10 p.m. every night through Nov. 14 (unless there is rain). If the temperature is 40 degrees or higher, they will go on until 7 p.m. from mid-November through next March.
The dog park at Swedes Run Fields on Westfield Road is open from dawn to dusk year round. There are dedicated areas for large and small dogs as well as a double gate to keep them safe.Â
Residents are encouraged to clean up after their animals – waste bags are provided at the park – and take home any balls or toys they bring with them. There is water available on site for canines and people. Parking is not allowed along the road.
