On Friday, May 19, the Mantua VFW hosted its Third Annual Military Ball.
Throughout the night, there was plenty of food, drinks, music and dancing, followed up with a birthday cake for Mr. Bill Bessler and Mr. Bob Dunn.
Commander Martin Valdez of the VFW Post 7679 addressed the crowd stating, “We’ve all been through things people only read about, and they don’t always get it right.”
This event was filled with a lot of history; some of the attendees served in World War II. Mantua is happy that our local veterans could come together, celebrate and have a night of fun.
