Man dies in parachute jump from SkyDrive

A 48-year-old Pennsylvania man died on May 10 in an apparent parachuting accident, according to the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office.

Monroe Township police were dispatched to the area of Kippen and Castlebay drives at approximately 1:16 p.m. when they found the deceased victim, Timothy Joseph Slachta.

Slachta had departed from SkyDrive Cross Keys in Williamstown, according to the prosecutor. The cause of the parachute failure is still under investigation by the prosecutor’s office, Monroe police and the Federal Aviation Administration.
