Red Cross is seeking blood donations. One in seven patients entering a hospital will need a blood transfusion. At the same time, only about 3% of Americans give blood. The American Red Cross needs more people to make and keep appointments to give blood or platelets in February.

Burlington County is holding a walk on Amico Island, 81 Norman Ave., Delran, from 12:30-2:30 p.m. Feb. 24.
At the end of February, waterfowl diversity increases as more species congregate on the Delaware River/Rancocas Creek preparing for their northbound migration. The walk will pass all the water bodies surrounding Amico Island to look for the waterfowl diversity.
