Power was lost for a few hours on Tuesday, Oct. 17 along Grove Street and at Haddonfield Memorial High School.
According to a district-wide email, Haddonfield Memorial Memorial High School and the surrounding area were without power earlier in the day. Superintendent of Schools Richard Perry said the power has since been restored.
Emergency lights were on throughout the building, and classrooms and areas without windows were not in use. Perry said the outage was caused by downed power lines on Grove Street.
Perry said classes were taken outside for a few hours during the outage, and the entire experience was “rather calm.”
