The event will begin at 9 a.m. Tickets are $7 and will be available at the door.
The annual Mayor’s Breakfast, hosted by the Haddonfield Lions Club, will be held on Saturday, Jan. 20 at the First Presbyterian Church. The event will begin at 9 a.m. Mayor Neal Rochford will deliver the annual State of the Borough Address and also present the Citizen of the Year award, which recognizes an outstanding member of the Haddonfield community.
The winner is selected by the Citizen of the Year Committee, comprised of a group of Haddonfield community members. Nominations are now being accepted. The submission deadline is Tuesday, Dec. 21.
The Committee is happy to consider both former and new nominees; However, nominations must be current and include the 2018 Nomination Form as a cover sheet, together with one or more statements by those making the recommendation. All nominees must be Haddonfield residents.
A nomination form can be downloaded by visiting the Haddonfield Lions Club website, www.haddonfieldlions.org, and clicking on the “Citizen of the Year” link. Forms are also available by contacting the Citizen of the Year Committee Chair Tom Quigley, at [email protected]. A list of previous Citizen of the Year winners is also on the web site.
At the Mayor’s Breakfast, the Lions will also be collecting eyeglasses, hearing aids and cell phones for recycling. This year, the Club will collect non-perishable food items for the Food Pantry at the John D. Young Memorial Blind Center in Absecon.
