The Mantua Township Police Department has experienced many recent changes, primarily with staffing resulting from a larger wave of retirements. The retirements have also led to the promotion of Lieutenant Bill Murphy at the May committee meeting followed by Sergeant Jason Lipsett, Corporal William Donovan, Corporal Cody Mroz and Corporal Salvatore Oldrati. We take great pride in our promotional and selection processes and we aim to hire and promote the best people possible.
As we replace vehicles, we are working to eliminate the subdued logos on the black police vehicles that have become so popular over the ast ten years. We are now including a reference to Wenonah while making our vehicles’ logos more recognizable and approachable to our residents.
If I could pass along one piece of advice, please lock your doors! Every year, individuals walk around checking car door handles to find unlocked cars. Generally, these individuals take small items of value. Scams targeting seniors have also become more prevalent.

Although you should be mindful of these situations, the Township currently maintains an A+ crime score rating according to www.crimes-grade.org.
