The Gloucester County Library at Mullica Hill was awarded an LSTA (Library Services and amp; Technology Act) grant in the amount of $20,000.
The New Jersey State Library announced that the Mullica Hill Library has been selected to participate in the LSTA grant in order to teach Digital Literacy classes to all adult residents of Gloucester County. The program aims to create a standardized library-based digital literacy certification program to assist Gloucester County’s workforce and Senior Citizens.
The classes are free and will begin on Monday, Oct. 3. Classes include Excel, Word, Basic Computer and Email as well as Career Search Skills and resume assistance. The classes will take place at the Mullica Hill Branch in person and will run for 6 weeks with each class meeting for 1 hour per week.
