Cohen, who will be a junior at Drexel University this fall, is an Animation and Visual Effects major. He will be interning remotely this summer in the animation production department at Lex + Otis Animation Studio in Los Angeles, CA.  Prior to attending Drexel, Cohen attended Cherry Hill High School East.

“It’s always tough to stand out in a crowd of amazing artists seeking careers and internships in animation,” said Cohen. “It was very affirming to get an internship for the summer at a great studio. I am really excited for the experience!”

“I’ve always been interested and inspired by animation, both on television and off,” Cohen added.  “Specifically, the creator of SpongeBob SquarePants, Stephen Hillenberg, has been a huge inspiration for me in animation. His creative vision and unconventional background gave me the courage to seek a creative career and strive to do what I love.”

The Television Academy Foundation’s Internship Program also provides professional development sessions with leaders in the television industry, and customized seminars covering personal brand building and navigating the job market ahead for participating students. Interns also become life-long members of the Foundation’s alumni family giving them access to events and networking opportunities as they build their careers in the industry.
