First Presbyterian Church of Moorestown celebrates C. Harry Knowles

Concert honoring late entrepreneur features West Jersey Chamber Chorale, West Jersey Chamber Orchestra.

The West Jersey Chamber Music Society, under the direction of Joel Krott, finishes its 2021–22 season with two beloved choral masterpieces:Requiems – Fauré and Rutter” on April 10 at 7:30 p.m. The in-person and live-streamed concert features the singers of the West Jersey Chamber Chorale and West Jersey Chamber Orchestra as well as First Presbyterian Church’s Adult Choir performing Gabriel Fauré’s Requiem, as well as John Rutter’s setting of the same mass, in celebration of the life of C. Harry Knowles (1928-2020).

 There is no cost to attend and no free will offering will be taken. The event is fully underwritten by those who loved Harry. The live video broadcast will be available at concert time at www.fpcmoorestown.org/live-stream. A PDF of the Program Book will be available to viewers to download on the WJCMS website https://wjcms.org/

WJCMS is committed to finding inventive ways to bring music to residents near and far. The free live stream, from the organization’s home base at First Presbyterian Church of Moorestown, allows for expanded community access to the concert.

The talented singers and instrumentalists of the West Jersey Chamber Chorale are working professionals associated with some of the region’s most accomplished ensembles including the Academy of Vocal Arts, The Crossing, Westminster Choir College, Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia and the Opera Orchestra.

For decades, the Adult Choir of First Presbyterian Church of Moorestown has been known for presenting high quality performances of many of major sacred choral works.

The West Jersey Chamber Music Society is a professional choir and orchestra committed to producing chamber music concerts of the highest quality that are easily accessible to residents and visitors to Southern New Jersey.
