The Borough Commission agreed that Clarke Caton & Hintz would be the next planning firm to develop a redevelopment plan for the Bancroft property.
The commissioners interviewed both Clarke Caton & Hintz and GroupMelvinDesign last week, Commissioner Jeff Kasko said. Clarke Caton & Hintz had the right amount of experience, background and the right references to handle the redevelopment project, he said.
The firm also provided the commissioners with the most complete information on how they would approach the project, Kasko said.
The firm did not give a set price for the project, but Kasko said it gave a rate in the range of $95 to $150 per hour depending on the firm’s representative working on the project at the time.
The firm is expected to be in attendance at the next work session on Jan. 3, Kasko said.
