According to the Mount Laurel Fire Department, former township Fire Commissioner Joseph Kovacs, Jr. passed away.
The Mount Laurel Fire Department provided the following statement:
“On behalf of the members of the Board of Fire Commissioners and the Mount Laurel Fire Department we would like to express our deepest condolences and recognize the service of Fire Commissioner Joseph Kovacs, Jr. Mr. Kovacs served as fire commissioner from 1987 through 1989. Due to his service, we are a stronger and more professional organization. We will pause for a moment of silence and dedicate our next Board Meeting on Monday, January 17th in his memory.”
