Unofficial election results for Moorestown from the Burlington County Office of Elections show Democratic nominee Quinton Law is currently in the lead to serve the only open seat for township council for a one-year unexpired term.
Law leads with 52.70 percent of the votes while Vick Bobadilla, the Republican nominee, holds 47.27 percent of the votes. As of Nov. 4, Law currently has 4,534 votes while Bobadilla currently has 4,067 votes.
Six nominees ran for three open seats with the Moorestown Township Public Schools Board of Education. As of Nov. 4, Jill Fallows Macaluso, Cheryl Makopoulos and Melissa Arcaro Burns are in the lead over remaining nominees David Vosbikian, Billie Danielle Thomas and Joseph Horwitz. Fallows Macaluso leads with 19.00 percent of the votes, Burns with 17.14 percent of the votes and Makopoulos with 16.68 percent of the votes.
The race for the governorship of New Jersey was not officially decided as of deadline, but incumbent Governor Phil Murphy appears headed for the top job in Trenton once more, fending off a challenge from GOP counterpart Jack Ciattarelli. In Burlington County, with 361 of 365 precincts reporting, Murphy holds a lead of more than 9,000 votes over Ciattarelli. Murphy would become the first Democrat to be sent back to the state capitol by voters since Brendan Byrne in 1977.
