Explore Wilson Lake with free fall paddle classes

Due to the limited number of boats, registration is required. This program is free to the public.

The Gloucester County Board of Commissioners and Scotland Run Park are offering Fall Paddle classes to explore Wilson Lake at Scotland Run Park.

Come and explore beautiful Wilson Lake and the many wonders it has to offer. Both canoes and kayaks will be available.

“This is a very relaxing way to explore our parks,” Commissioner Director Robert M. Damminger said. “The program allows you to take one of our canoes or kayaks out with Dr. Dan and receive a thorough tour of the lake and park and explore the environment of Gloucester County.”

Paddles take place the first and third Thursday of every month from Sept. 1 through Nov. 18, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.

“We know how great our parks are and we can’t wait for our residents to explore it too. This is a new way to see a whole new side of Scotland Run Park from the water,” Commissioner Jim Lavender, liaison to the Department of Parks and Recreation said.

Due to the limited number of boats, registration is required. This program is free to the public. Call 856-251-6710 to register.
