“We could prevent the vast majority of these infections if everyone got vaccinated,” said Camden County Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “The vaccines are safe, and an overwhelming amount of evidence shows us that they are effective in reducing the likelihood of getting COVID-19, being hospitalized from it, and ultimately facing severe illness. If you haven’t been vaccinated yet, do not wait any longer.”

To date, 351,620 Camden County residents have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while 307,712 are fully vaccinated and 16,166 have received a third dose. More information regarding vaccination rates throughout the county and available on the state’s COVID-19 dashboard at covid19.nj.gov.

The county Health Department is continuing to closely track new cases of COVID-19 and information regarding the prevalence of the Delta variant. New cases are often reassigned to other municipalities over the course of an investigation.
