Samaritan recently announced that Jim Ewing, managing director and partner of Clarity Point Financial Partners, a Hightower Company, has been named as chair of its Planned Giving Committee.
With more than 20 years of financial industry experience, Ewing has developed and deployed sophisticated strategies to help business owners, as well as professionals and their families, with their complex financial needs.
Prior to his role at Hightower, the Cherry Hill resident served as First Vice President and Wealth Management Advisor at Merrill Lynch for nearly a decade. A Certified Financial Planner, Ewing holds the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor® and Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist® designations. He received a bachelor’s degree in communication from West Chester University.
“Jim was one of the Committee’s original members, and has been a consistent and valuable contributor,” said Lee Sheilds, CPA, co-managing partner at Friedman LLP, and Treasurer, Samaritan Board of Trustees.
Samaritan’s Planned Giving Committee is a volunteer group of the region’s leading professional financial advisors. The Committee lends their time and expertise to help advance Samaritan’s charitable mission, and to raise awareness of the potential advantages of charitable estate planning.
“It is an honor and pleasure to volunteer with such talented and generous professionals,” Ewing said.
“I look forward to continue raising awareness about the many ways generous donors can benefit Samaritan’s patients and families, while still achieving their own financial goals. Our hope is that those who have made a provision in their will or estate plan to benefit Samaritan let us know when they make that decision, so that we can recognize their generous intent during their lifetime.”
