Long-time resident Helen Wallace celebrates 100th birthday

Helen Wallace, long-time resident of Haddonfield, celebrated her 100th birthday on Jan.4. Born in Scotland, Helen emigrated to the United States in 1929. In 1937, she married William Wallace. Helen moved to Haddonfield with William in 1950, where they lived for many happy and memorable years. Helen and William eventually decided to make their summer home in Ocean City their permanent residence, but Helen stayed active in her beloved town of Haddonfield. Throughout the years, Helen taught Sunday school at the First Presbyterian Church, and nursery school at the United Methodist Church. Happy belated, Helen, and thank you for your time and service to the community.
