Alan R. Craig, age 85, of Moorestown and formerly of Philadelphia and Rehoboth Beach, Del., passed away on Monday, March 15 surrounded by his loving family.
Alan grew up in Montreal, Canada and was a graduate of McGill University where he earned a Masters in Educational Administration. A natural and gifted educator, his professional journey took him and his family to the United States in 1972 where he became an administrator at Friends Academy in New York and eventually head of school at Moorestown Friends School. He was an amazing father and husband, a loving grandfather and a gifted educator who was beloved by students, parents and colleagues alike.
Alan is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Mary Craig; his sons David (Kristin) and Ian (Holly); his grandchildren; Bailey, Holden, Cooper, Millie, and Maia.
A celebration of Alan’s life will be announced in the future. Memorial contributions may be made to the Moorestown Friends School at: 110 E. Main Street, Moorestown, NJ 08057.
