With the holiday season in full swing, the Gloucester Township Police Department recently offered a list of recommendations to residents to help avoid package theft, as more and more consumers continue to purchase things online.
The list recently compiled by the GTPD recommended that residents:
- Bring packages inside as soon as they arrive
- Reschedule a delivery if they know they won’t be home
- Ask neighbors to grab a package to hold until home
- Leave special instructions on where to deliver a package, so as to put it out of sight from the street
- Use a company that can provide a tracking number
Remember to report any suspicious person and/or act immediately to the Gloucester Township Police Department by calling 911 for an emergency and (856) 228-4500 for a non-emergency.
