First Presbyterian invites community to join ‘Longest Night’ service

Attendees can join in person in the sanctuary on Dec. 6 or watch the live stream from the safety and comfort of home.

On Sunday, Dec. 6 at 7 p.m., First Presbyterian Church of Moorestown invites the community to its Longest Night Service. There is no charge. This service provides peace to those dealing with grief, illness, anxiety or depression this holiday season who may not feel the joy or celebration seen in others. The Longest Night includes elements from a Service of Remembrance, including the Lord’s Supper, special music and a time for prayer. Preaching will be Beth Douglass, seminary intern from Princeton Theological Seminary, who is serving a one-year internship on the staff of FPC Moorestown.

The community is invited to join in person in the sanctuary or watch the live stream from the safety and comfort of home. For those attending in person, masks are required, and guests will complete a COVID-19 Waiver and Health Screening Questionnaire. Strict physical distancing will be observed.

For those watching the live stream, simply visit www.fpcmoorestown.org at 7:00 p.m. to view the service live.

If you, or someone you know needs a quiet place in the rush of December, come to the Longest Night.
