Mayor’s Message: Shred Day event and Halloween

Shred Day Event

Let’s come together to reduce clutter! A chance to clean out and purge your personal records.  Shred day is located at the Washington Township Municipal Building on November 7, at 9 a.m. – noon. Bring your bags or boxes of paper to shred.  An experienced operator from Docu Vault Delaware Valley will move the bins to a highly secure, mobile shredding unit where your confidential material will be destroyed before your eyes.

Please keep in mind only paper is accepted.  No plastic bags or metal, including 3-ring binders and binder clips. Paper clips and staples are OK. LIMIT to 4 bags/boxes per car.  Our next shred event to be determined in the spring.   Take this opportunity to protect yourself and your family from identity theft and take a step toward GOING GREEN. 100 percent of the shredded paper is recycled. Washington Township residents please bring ID’s they will be checked.

Please contact Lisa Collins for more information [email protected]

Coffee with the Mayor-

I would like to remind residents about Coffee with the Mayor. The purpose of these meetings is to open a constructive, positive dialog between residents and myself, in order to better the Township. These conversations will be held the third Thursday of every month and are limited to thirty minutes, starting at 8:00 AM. Each meeting will have a maximum of three residents, who must sign up in advance and send one or two questions prior to our meeting to focus the discussion and allow me to prepare some information to discuss. The deadline to sign up and send questions is noon on the Monday before each Thursday’s meeting time. I look forward to meeting with any residents who are interested in attending. Please contact the Mayor’s Confidential Aide at 856-589-0575 or at [email protected]. Please wear a mask when entering the building.

Halloween-

Residents, Halloween is still on. Please enjoy the tradition of Halloween safely. Trick or Treaters should wear a proper mask covering their nose and mouth. Families that chose to participate can safely spread treats out on a table on their porch, sidewalk or driveway to avoid children reaching into bags and bowls. Please adhere to CDC guidelines at www.cdc.gov see Halloween. Times for curfew to follow keep checking our social media and website www.townshipnj.com  for updates.
