The Camden County Department of Health announced on Tuesday 27 additional confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Camden County. This brings the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases to 9,457 in Camden County today and 551 total fatalities.
“Today, Governor Murphy announced two additions to the self-quarantine travel advisory: Delaware and Alaska. That list now includes 35 states, underscoring just how widespread viral activity remains in the United States,” said Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr.
“We have to be extremely careful as we proceed forward, and we cannot afford to take our eye off the ball for even a second. Keep wearing masks, social distancing, adhering to the travel advisory, and working with contact tracers. These efforts are saving countless lives and allowing our state to press on with our economic recovery.”
Trace investigations are being facilitated with the patients and remain ongoing.
In addition, the county Department of Health is also announcing 1,342 confirmed resident cases and 533 staff cases have occurred out of the aggregate case load of 9,457 in our 56 long-term care facilities. At this time, 313 resident deaths have been reported from these facilities, as well as three staff deaths, out of our 551 total fatalities countywide.
