34 new cases of COVID-19 are announced in Gloucester County

As of Wednesday, August 5, Gloucester County has conducted 34,823 total tests. Of these cases, 31,648 have come back negative.

Today, Gloucester County has an additional 34 cases to report. Of those cases:

The 3142nd case is a 17-year-old female from Harrison Twp.

The 3143rd case is a 23-year-old from Washington Twp. Sex is unknown at this time.

The 3144th case is a 20-year-old female from Glassboro.

The 3145th case is an 18-year-old female from Washington Twp.

The 3146th case is a 26-year-old male from Washington Twp.

The 3147th case is a 32-year-old female from Monroe Twp.

The 3148th case is an 80-year-old male from Monroe Twp.

The 3149th case is a 76-year-old female from Monroe Twp.

The 3150th case is a 17-year-old female from Monroe Twp.

The 3151st case is a 62-year-old female from Glassboro.

The 3152nd case is a 54-year-old female from Washington Twp.

The 3153rd case is a 55-year-old female from Clayton.

The 3154th case is a 30-year-old female from Harrison Twp.

The 3155th case is a 23-year-old male from Washington Twp.

The 3156th case is a 2-year-old male from Pitman.

The 3157th case is a 15-year-old female from Deptford.

The 3158th case is a 47-year-old male from Deptford.

The 3159th case is a 57-year-old female from Washington Twp.

The 3160th case is an 18-year-old female from Washington Twp.

The 3161st case is a 42-year-old female from Westville.

The 3162nd case is a 22-year-old from Clayton. Sex is unknown at this time.

The 3163rd case is a 47-year-old male from Washington Twp.

The 3164th case is a 42-year-old female from Washington Twp.

The 3165th case is a 52-year-old male from Washington Twp.

The 3166th case is a 7-year-old female from Mantua.

The 3167th case is a 9-year-old female from Monroe Twp.

The 3168th case is a 56-year-old male from Newfield.

The 3169th case is a 28-year-old male from Washington Twp.

The 3170th case is a 22-year-old male from Washington Twp.

The 3171st case is a 68-year-old male from Monroe Twp.

The 3172nd case is a 20-year-old female from Glassboro.

The 3173rd case is a 23-year-old female from Greenwich Twp.

The 3174th case is a 21-year-old female from South Harrison Twp.

The 3175th case is a 26-year-old female from Deptford.

Gloucester County’s total positive COVID-19 case count is now 3,175.

Gloucester County has 202 COVID-19 related deaths.

The Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services is working with the New Jersey Department of Health to conduct a full assessment that includes identifying the contacts these individuals have had.

At this time, the overall threat of COVID-19 to Gloucester County residents remains low. Gloucester County is expecting cases to rise. Social distancing is critical in flattening the curve and reducing cases.

Most people with mild symptoms do not need to be tested. It is important to stay home and isolate from others while sick.
