The Camden County Department of Health (DOH) is announcing two new deaths caused by novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Camden County, as well as 32 additional cases of the disease. This brings the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases to 8,523 in Camden County and 530 total fatalities.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families, and we are wishing a speedy recovery to everyone who has contracted this disease,” said Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “More than four months into this pandemic, we are still losing innocent lives to this virus. As we continue to reopen our economy and consider next steps in this process, we cannot lose sight of just how deadly coronavirus is, especially to members of vulnerable populations. We are asking everyone to do their part to protect our seniors and individuals with underlying conditions. Wear a mask, social distance, and stay home if you are sick. If each of us takes these simple actions, we will continue to save lives and reduce the risk posed to these populations.”
The Department of Health is announcing 32 additional positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) identified in Camden County. Trace investigations are being facilitated with the patients and remain ongoing.
In addition, the county Department of Health is also announcing 1,335 confirmed resident cases and 503 staff cases have occurred out of the aggregate case load of 8,523 in our 56 long-term care facilities. At this time, 308 resident deaths have been reported from these facilities, as well as three staff deaths, out of our 530 total fatalities countywide.
