Mayor’s Message: Residents encouraged to download app

Mayor Joann Gattinelli also encouraged local businesses to reach out to the township if they are in need of assistance.

Washington Township O.N.E APP

I would like to once again mention that the Washington Township O.N.E  APP is available for download in the App Store searching “Washington Township.”  Residents are able to access all township information, such as news, events in the park, and participating Shop Washington Township merchants. Not only is the app a source of information and news, but you can also report any concerns that you see around the township such as potholes, trash not picked up, fallen street signs or debris, etc. The report will go directly to our department of public works, so they may address the issue in a timely manner.

Businesses

Washington Township Economic Development Consultant Nancy Mozzachio and confidential aides Suzie Barone and Alicia Marini are contacting all Washington Township businesses offering assistance if needed in these ever changing times. If you are a business or know of one that has not been reached out yet please contact Mozzachio at (856) 589-0520 ext. 261 or [email protected] and provide her with an email address so that you may be added to the email list to receive newsletters.

Updates: Please Note

The coronavirus has affected all in many different ways. Rest assured that Washington Township is closely monitoring the situation and adhering to all guidelines from federal, state and local sources relative to the spread of the virus and its effects. Communication is important. I urge you all to please follow the township’s Facebook page and our website at www.TownshipNJ.com.

Governor Murphy announced on July 6 New Jersey’s travel advisory. This advisory suggests that people who have visited states with high volume of COVID-19 should quarantine for 14 days. Please stay safe and we will get through this together. Please remember to practice social distancing and wear a mask when frequenting locations with other individuals. Please make sure to check on your neighbors, especially if they are alone or elderly and support our local businesses.

Washington Twp. Municipal Building

The Washington Township Municipal Building is now open to residents and visitors. Anyone entering the Municipal Building will be manually checked in/out by the front desk when entering. This will help direct the flow of traffic. Please follow directional arrows, exit signs and social distancing markers. These markers will be placed strategically at the front entrance and throughout the entire building. This is to remind and encourage all employees, as well as visitors, to maintain a social distance of six feet apart. A face mask or face covering is required to be worn at all times when entering the building and in shared spaces such as hallways, restrooms and offices. The township will adhere to Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines as well as state and local orders.

Municipal Buildings summer hours are as follows: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday and closed on Fridays through Labor Day Weekend.
