The Camden County Department of Health (DOH) announced on Tuesday, 13 new deaths caused by novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Camden County which occurred between May 18 and June 16, as well as 17 additional cases of the disease. This brings the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases to 7,754 in Camden County and 458 total fatalities.

“It is heartbreaking to continue to learn of deaths in Camden County that had previously not been reported. These devastating announcements underscore the importance of our mitigation measures. We must work harder than ever to protect our neighbors and those most vulnerable members of our community,” said Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr.
“As cases continue to rise in other states, Camden County’s growth rate has remained steady. We are averaging just 26 new cases per day over the past week, and we are seeing growth rates of under one percent. If we continue to social distance and wear masks and face coverings, we will keep trending in the right direction.”
The Department of Health is announcing 17 additional positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) identified in Camden County. Trace investigations are being facilitated with the patients and remain ongoing.
In addition, the county Department of Health is also announcing 1,299 confirmed resident cases and 473 staff cases have occurred out of the aggregate case load of 7,754 in our 56 long-term care facilities. At this time, 298 resident deaths have been reported from these facilities, as well as three staff deaths, out of our 458 total fatalities countywide.
