The Camden County Department of Health (DOH) on Tuesday announced 12 new deaths caused by novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Camden County, as well as 22 additional confirmed cases of the disease.
This brings the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases to 4,294 in Camden County today and 230 total fatalities. In addition, the reporting system at the state Department of Health crashed today limiting the reporting ability from the county DOH of new confirmed cases. Anything not covered based on the crash will be included in the numbers for tomorrow.

“We are deeply saddened to announce that 12 more members of the Camden County community have succumbed to this insidious disease. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims, nine of whom were residents of long-term care facilities,” said Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr.
“Today’s reported case total is likely skewed lower due to a system outage that impacts how testing labs report back their results. Still, we know that our cases have been consistent or down for the better part of two weeks, and this is entirely due to the hard work of Camden County’s residents. As we begin to enter the next phase of this new reality, please continue to observe social distancing, avoid unnecessary trips, and wash your hands often. Even when select reopenings are permitted to occur by Governor Murphy, these guidelines will still be critical to limit the spread of this incredibly transmittable disease.”
In addition, the county Department of Health is also announcing 1,071 confirmed cases have occurred out of the aggregate case load of 4,294 in our 56 long-term care facilities. At this current time 178 deaths have been reported from these facilities out of our 230 total fatalities countywide.
