HMHS graduate receives scholarship from Ronald McDonald House Charities

Ronald McDonald House Charities(RMHC)and the McDonald’s Owner/Operators of the Greater Philadelphia Region, Inc. have awarded RMHC college scholarships to three Camden County students.

This year, 55 college scholarships were awarded to high school seniors throughout the Greater Philadelphia Region through the RMHC/African American Future Achievers program for African American high school seniors; the RMHC/Asian Students Increasing Achievement (ASIA) program for Asian and Pacific Islander high school seniors, the RMHC/Hispanic American Commitment to Educational Resources (HACER) program for Latino high school seniors; and the RMHC Scholars program. Winners were selected based on academic achievement, community involvement, financial need and plans to attend a two- or four-year college during the next academic year. “Each passing year, we are proud to recognize individuals who best represent themselves, their family and the entire community,” said Bill Roberson, president of Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Philadelphia Region, Inc. “We recognize these students’ ability to find success on both personal and academic levels, allowing them to grow into strong community leaders and build a solid foundation heading into their professional careers.”

Louis Epstein of Haddonfield Memorial High School was a $2,000 RMHC/HACER scholarship recipient.
