Gloucester County reports 50 new COVID-19 cases for May 1

A 52-year-old woman from West Deptford became the 48th county resident to pass away due to COVID-19.

Gloucester County health officials are reporting 50 new positive COVID-19 cases and one new death due to COVID-19 on Friday, May 1.

According the county officials, a 52-year-old woman from West Deptford became the 48th county resident to die as a result of COVID-19.

Here is the breakdown of new COVID-19 cases by municipality:

  • Clayton – 4
  • Deptford – 15
  • East Greenwich – 1
  • Greenwich – 1
  • Glassboro – 3
  • Mantua – 3
  • Monroe Twp. – 3
  • National Park – 1
  • Paulsboro – 3
  • Swedesboro – 2
  • Washington Twp. – 3
  • West Deptford – 3
  • Woodbury – 2
  • Woodbury Heights – 1
  • Woolwich – 5

As of May 1, Gloucester County has conducted 5,674 tests. A total of 1,289 tests came back positive, 4,358 came back negative and 27 are pending.
