Mullica Hill, Washington Twp. residents among newest county COVID-19 cases

Six more cases announced today brings county total to 19

The Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services and Office of Emergency Management announced six more positive COVID-19 cases in Gloucester County. This brings the county’s total positive COVID-19 cases to 19.

The 14th case is a 46-year-old female from West Deptford.

The 15th case is a 49-year-old male from Mullica Hill.

The 16th case is a 72-year-old female from Washington Township.

The 17th case is a 27-year-old male from Woolwich.

The 18th case is a 21-year-old male from Glassboro.

The 19th case is a 66-year-old female from Woolwich.

The Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services is working with the New Jersey Department of Health to conduct a full assessment that includes identifying the contacts these individuals have had.

At this time, the overall threat of COVID-19 to Gloucester County residents remains low. Gloucester County is expecting cases to rise. Social distancing is critical in flattening the curve and reducing cases. A mask should only be worn if a healthcare professional recommends it.

New Jersey residents can call 2-1-1 or (800) 962-1253 with questions. The call center is open 24/7 and has multi-language capacity.

Most people with mild symptoms do not need to be tested. It is important to stay home and isolate from others while sick.
