Washington Township High School students will attend youth leadership conference

Students will receive leadership training.

17 Washington Township High School juniors have been selected to attend the Rotary Youth Leadership Conference (RYLA) being hosted on June 26-29 at Richard Stockton University. The students are being sponsored by the Rotary Club of Washington Township and the Washington Township Education Foundation (WTEF) and will join other high school juniors from South Jersey high schools in receiving leadership training that they can bring back to their respective schools in the fall.

The following 17 individuals, who were nominated by teachers, coaches and/or club advisors for their leadership potential and then selected by rotary members following an interview process, will represent Washington Township High School:

“This year represents the highest number of Washington Township High School students who were afforded this remarkable leadership opportunity,” said WTEF Vice President Tiffany Orihel. “The WTEF was pleased to present a $1,200 check to the Washington Township Rotary to offset the costs of three students’ attendance.”
