HMHS junior Edwards takes home another Shakespeare state crown

Edwards again heading to NYC in spring to compete in nationals.

Haddonfield Memorial High School junior Katrina Edwards (second from left) — a student of New Jersey State Teacher of the Year Kimberly Dickstein Hughes (left) — won the Princeton Branch of the English-Speaking Union’s annual Shakespeare Competition, which took place at The Lawrenceville School on Sunday, Feb. 23. Edwards also won the state crown in 2019.

In late April, Ms. Edwards will once again make the trek to New York City, for an all expenses paid trip to compete against the winners from chapters across the United States.

Maria Guardino Schreiner from Hawken School in Cleveland, Ohio won the 2019 national competition and received a full scholarship to attend the Midsummer Conservatory Program at the British American Drama Academy (BADA) in Oxford, England.
