Final showings of the musical are on Feb. 28 at 7 p.m. and Feb. 29 at 2 and 7 p.m.

Students of Shawnee High School transformed the crowd in the school’s auditorium to the land of “The Little Mermaid.”

The Disney classic called for an interactive audience enjoying the voices of the students such as Jamie Sheffer (Ariel), Owen Reilly (Prince Eric) and Emmie Fitzpatrick (Ursula) belt out songs such as “Under the Sea,” “Part of your World,” “Poor Unfortunate Souls” and more.

Ariel, a mermaid with an angelic voice, rebels against her father’s demands and visits land and spots a human, Eric, and falls in love. Sam Morrell (Sebastian) kept the comedic relief in the musical, often breaking the fourth wall and interacting with the audience as the story carries on.

Final showings of the musical are on Feb. 28 at 7 p.m. and Feb. 29 at 2 and 7 p.m.
