Mantua Township police patrol summary, Dec. 19 to 25

The following are on file at the Mantua Township Police Department.

Dec. 19

  • Units responded to a domestic disturbance for a couple arguing in the street.
  • Patrols responded to a crash on Glassboro Road at Lambs Road.
  • Officers responded to a minor crash in the parking lot of Sal’s Pizza.

Dec. 20

  • Ptl. Oldrati arrested a subject that had an active warrant for non-payment of child support. He was arrested and lodged in the county jail.
  • Patrols along with the fire department and EMS responded to a report of a house fire in Centre City in which an outlet was smoking. There was no major damage to the house and no injuries.
  • Officers took two reports of vehicle burglaries that occurred overnight.
  • Units responded to a report of a house fire on Jackson Road in Mantua, however, it was an issue with the oven.
  • Patrols responded to a report of a theft from a motor vehicle that had occurred in the Timbercrest development.
  • Officers took a report for telephone fraud in which the victim gave out her social security number to the caller.
  • Patrols responded to a crash involving a school bus on Center Street at Atlantic Avenue.  There were no injuries reported.
  • Units responded to the Walgreens store for a customer who felt she was being harassed by an employee there.
  • Units responded to a tree that fell on Main Street in the area of Tyler Lake Road. The fire department responded to remove the tree.
  • Officers responded to a crash on Bridgeton Pike by Mt Royal Road.
  • Patrols responded to a crash on Wenonah Avenue by Clinton Avenue.
  • Ptl. Sheilds conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested an occupant for drug-related charges.

Dec. 21

  • Officers responded to a single-vehicle crash involving a deer on Main Street.
  • Ptl. Riepen investigated a suspicious motor vehicle and arrested the subject for outstanding warrants. He was processed and released.
  • Patrols responded to a residence in Wenonah because they felt they are being targeted by criminal mischief.
  • Units assisted Harrison Township Police Department with a subject that was in crisis.
  • Officers took a report for criminal mischief for damage that was done to windows on a vacant property.
  • Ptl. Oldrati conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested an occupant for outstanding warrants.
  • Patrols took a report for a stolen license plate.
  • Units responded to a landlord and tenant dispute in the Villages of Berkley.
  • Ptl. Wolfsgruber conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested an occupant for outstanding warrants. He was processed and turned over to the county jail.

Dec. 22

  • Officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance between a boyfriend and girlfriend in a vehicle parked outside their house. It was reported to be just an argument.
  • Units responded to a homeowner that believed someone was in their house as their TV turned on in the middle of the night. We responded and did not see any evidence of a break-in.
  • Units responded to a report of a crash on Lambs Road in which a single vehicle struck a tree and was unconscious. The driver was found to have overdosed and was issued Narcan. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.
  • Patrols responded to a report of a crash on Glassboro Road at Tylers Mill Road. The driver that caused the crash was arrested for DUI.
  • Officers responded to a minor crash in the parking lot of the Wawa store on Route 45.

Dec. 23

  • Units responded to a crash in the parking lot of the Wawa store on Center Street.
  • Officers took a report for a victim that had their checks forged and cashed.
  • Patrols responded to the new car wash on Glassboro Road for a report of construction debris in the roadway.
  • Units responded to a crash on Main Street in the area of Tatum Street.
  • Officers responded to an infant and dog that were locked in the vehicle at the Wine Warehouse. The owner was there attempting to gain entry.
  • Patrols along with the fire department responded to a vehicle fire on Woodcrest Court.
  • Units responded to a crash in Wenonah on Glassboro Road at Maple Street.
  • Patrols responded to a neighbor complaint in which one was having a party with loud music.
  • Ptl. Oldrati responded to the Taco Bell for two juveniles that were acting suspiciously in the drive-through on foot. Officer located and arrested for drug-related charges. They were released to their parents.

Dec. 24

  • Units responded to a male in the Heritages parking lot that was unconscious with his foot stuck on the gas pedal while the vehicle was in the park.
  • Officers responded to a crash on Lambs Road in the area of Spruce where one vehicle needed to be towed.
  • Officers responded to a teenage male that took unknown drugs and was in crisis. He was transported to the hospital for treatment.

Dec. 25

  • Units responded to a male that had overdosed on heroin. Narcan was given and he was transported to the hospital.
  • Officers along with the fire department responded to a neighbor burning trash.
  • Patrols responded to a subject shooting fireworks off in a townhome development.
